The context

A Belgian insurance group was eleven weeks from go-live on a finance-heavy S/4HANA programme when two senior functional consultants left within a fortnight of each other. The cutover weekend was fixed and tied to a reporting cycle.

02

The approach

Instead of opening a search, we went to people already known to the ERP community who had done a comparable finance cutover. Three candidates were introduced within six working days, all pre-checked for availability across the cutover weekend and hypercare.

03

The outcome

Two consultants started within three weeks, overlapped with the outgoing team for handover and stayed through hypercare. The go-live date did not move. What made it work was not speed of sourcing but the fact that the relationships already existed.
